Taplin
Hi. I'm Taplin (or Tap).
I started tagging along to my brother's games when I was just 2 and starting playing when I was 4. I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and have been a lifelong Braves fan. My family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when I was in elementary school, where I currently live with my parents, brother, and puppy Ollie.
Baseball
I think what sets me apart is pitchability. I can use pitches, such as my curve ball, really effectivley. I get a lot of movement and hide the ball well.
academics
I started high school in 7th grade and I'm on the IB Diploma pathway. I don't see a future in baseball without a future in academics. My favorite classes are usually history and I plan to study anthropology, archeology, or policial science in college.

Service
I enjoy giving back to the community. Some of the volunteer experiences I've had this year are cooking for homeless young adults, work at the Utah Food Bank, and I helped set up an exhibit at the aviary.
Interests
Outside of playing and training for baseball, I'm a dedicated baseball fan (especially the Braves). I also play ukulele, read (anything from Stephen King to Dostoyevsky), watch movies (There Will Be Blood is my favorite), and play with my dog Ollie.
